Exciting News: My new favorite toy store, J&R jr., is celebrating their Grand Opening this weekend and we're all invited! They're calling it a 2-Day Kidstravanganza and they're not kidding! The free party is this Saturday (2/11) and Sunday (2/12) and will have magicians, princesses, balloon twisters, photo booths, giveaways and more!
What do I mean by "more"? Much like J&R, J&R jr. will regularly treat us NYers to free events headlined by big name performers. Who's performing tomorrow? Laurie Berkner @ 1:30, the Little Maestros @ 2:30 and Farmer Jason @ 4:00. Be sure to arrive early - only the first 300 people will be admitted and Laurie always draws a crowd :)

I am a mother of twin girls and I'm singlehandedly starting a French summer camp for kids in Gramercy Park, Manhattan. This program will be designed for French speaking and non-French speaking toddlers 3 to 5.8 years old. I wanted to create the best educational environment for children to practice and learn French in small groups with native French instructors. This will be weeklong sessions of French immersion 6 hours a day from June 25th to July 27th, 2012; participation in numerous creative activities will be fostered in French. The curriculum will also comprise of sports, swimming, games, cooking, painting, arts and crafts, singing and observation of French music and instruments taught by a professional opera singer. In addition, each week will include a Chinese (Mandarin) music class.
